November 14th is a very important date to the Wayne Soccer Club. Our Annual Dinner Dance is that evening at the Grand Chalet on Route 23 in Wayne. Last years dinner was a tremendous success and everyone had a great time!
Although we require every team to sell 10 tickets to the dinner, typically that should not be a problem because that is only 5 couples. The more people on a team that attend, the more your club AND TEAM benefits financially. So we would like to see you at the dinner and maybe you can bring friends or family to join you (adults only).
Also for the dinner, we ask every family to sell 2 raffle books (10 tickets per book, $2 per ticket) – an easy task since the prizes are always great and friends, family and co-workers will want to buy a chance to win one of the three great prizes: First Prize - 32" Toshiba Flat Panel TV & Sony Play Station 3; Second Prize - Gift Certificate to Universal Sporting Goods; Third Prize - Apple IPOD Touch 8GB.
We also have a Tricky-tray where each team provides minimally $100 worth of baskets that we raffle off at the dinner. You could be one of the MANY winners!!
Finally, our biggest fundraiser for the dinner is the Ad Journal. Each team is required to sell $750 worth of advertising between business and personal ad space. Any extra money raised over the $750 minimum results in more money being given to your team for training, tournaments etc. In this Ad Journal, the club offers businesses with an opportunity to purchase advertising space in the journal and/or to help sponsor the dinner. The form is attached and should be used for businesses who would like to advertise and support our club.
Also, if friends or family would like to take out a page (half page, booster etc) to wish their team or favorite player well. There is a family form attached for that as well. The costs for that type of advertising are reduced, however, it is for family or friends only, NOT for any direct or indirect business use. So for example, wishing a player well, from ABC Company would be a business advertisement and the Business form and pricing should be used.
Thank you for your participation and support of the Wayne Soccer Club. All of the money raised goes back into the clubs and teams budget to help defray the cost to run a club of our size and still provide the exceptional training and support we provide.
