This past Saturday, at the Inaugural Season of the Morris County Youth Soccer Association League Cup Championship, the Wayne Sonics went undefeated and won the Finals for the Boys U13, representing the Wayne Soccer Club proudly.

The game was played at Reynolds Soccer Complex in Parsippany, NJ, the tournament was open to all flights in the U13boys age group currently playing in The Morris County Youth Soccer League.

The Sonics have been doing very well all Season and are currently in 1st Place in Flight 1, thanks to the commitment of all the parents and boys and there ability to gel and play together as a Team. Family and friends cheered the team on with each step they took closer towards winning the Spring 2009 League Cup.

Coach Ozzy Martinez and Paul Burger along with their Trainer Julio Cesar prepared the team for the Finals. They knew it would be a difficult battle as they were familiar with their opponent in the Finals – WANAQUE Lakeland Wildcats ­-- losing to them only one week prior in the Randolph Memorial Day Tournament.

The Wayne Sonics consist of the following very talented players: Erik Martinez, Nicolas Burger, Nicolas Del Rio, Aleksander Koroman, Troy Teresak, Christopher Stallard, Christopher Sweeney, Rintaro Omi, Ryan Brown, Nicolas Glodava, John Faciolince, Andrew Kim, Scott Doyle, Dorian Rodriguez and Jack Egan.
