With a 1-1-1 record, Wayne Soccer Club’s U11 Madrid Girls, under the direction of Coach Jonathan Valdes, went into the final championship game with a vengeance. After the hard fought game, the second half ended with a tied 0-0 score. A five minute overtime, attempting to break the tie, produced a similar result. This forced the teams into a shoot-out. After 8 penalty kicks (PKs), the Madrid girls found themselves victorious. Congratulations, girls and coach, on a well-played tournament and well-deserved tournament championship!
